[Sound of the Week] Sungha Jung

I really love Sungha Jung and have for quite some time. He always plays so beautifully and I'm so incredible amazed by him. And he have most definitely brought it to life, yet again. This time he plays Big Bang - Blue, and it is breathtaking.
I actually found him trough his youtube account, when searching for Super Mario sounds. He plays some awesome Super Mario theme with his ukulele. I wish I could play guitar just half as good as him.

Sungha Jung is born 1996 and he is probably a prodigy child. It takes him three days, to learn and practice a new piece. His youtube video "Pirates of the Caribbean theme" have about 28,405,644 views, and he have become pretty popular through the Internet. He have also released two albums so far, "perfect blue" in 2010 and "Irony" in 2011. And as far as I know, he's a Big Bang fan. (That, we like)

And a bonus with his awesome super Mario theme ~

[Sound of the Week] Big Bang - Blue

Sound of the Week!

Guess who's back, back again, Big Bang is back, tell a friend!
And I couldn't be happier! The song is amazing as well. And I have been listening to it on repeat, this entire day. It's a "sad" song, but I'm getting a warm and cozy feeling from it. I'm feeling cheerful. And I'm probably gonna listen to it as much, as I did with "Love song" - until I get really tired of it. Which I rarely get with Big Bang, so no... probably not going to get tired of it anyways.

And the MV... wow! It's beautiful as well as artistic. I love everyones new hairstyles, I really like Daesung in his blonde hair. And its also nice to see Seungri in something else. And well, T.O.P looks good in anything, and as always - I want G.D's clothes. I'm getting emotional to see everyone of them in line.

[Sound of the Week] Jay Park - Know your name

Sound of the Week!

Jay Park released a special album "Take variety of my life". With the new song "Know your name" in different versions. Acoustic version, electronic version, R&B version and a original version with Dok2. The different versions fit your own mood, for the moment. He also released the new, "New Breed" full album, with fifteen songs in total.

And the version of "know your name" with Dok2 is already out in a music video, absolutely in my taste. I get to see Jay Park dance again, so I'm happy.

And... the acoustic version ~ Jay Park - Know Your Name (Acoustic version)

It's like two completely different sounds, it's interesting.

[Sound of the Week] Clazzi ft. Lee Seung Yeol & MYK - Love & Hate

Sound of the Week!

Dj Clazzi released his new album "Infant" a few days ago. I love the fact that he collaborates with singers who may be a little bit more unknown. He collaborates with Jang Woo Hyuk, Jinsil, Seulong and MYK among others though.

The Infant album;
1. Bad Girl (feat. Whale of W&Whale)
2. Love & Hate (feat. Lee Seung Yeol & MYK)
3. Where's dance (feat. Jinsil of Mad Soul Child)
4. 40 Nights (현송&수륜 of Koxx)
5. Star Child (feat. Christina & MYK)
6. How we feel (feat. Seulong of 2AM)
7. Can Only Feel (feat. Kim Wan Seon)
8. Loving You (feat. Jang Woo Hyuk & Jo Hyun Ah of Urban Zakapa)
9. Sexy Doll (feat. Kota & Jubi of SunnyHill, MYK)
10. Crazy for Love (Christina)
11. How we feel (Remix version) (Bonus track)

I have to say, I love this album. It is amazing and thrilling. Every song is something new, and a new treat. I love Jinsil's voice from before, I am a big fan of Jang Woo Hyuk and MYK is great! Koxx is new for me, but they also did a great job. Christina's voice is just amazing. Yes, I actually love every song on this album. Some more then others, but still...
And moving on to a new Clazzi MV, with Lee Seung Yeol on the vocal and MYK for the rap parts. "Love & Hate" is most definitely Love for me!
I actually get a feeling of the Swedish band "Kent" from this tune somehow. But MYK makes it better. My favorite part is MYK's "singing" part at 2.30 ~
And the video itself is exiting as always, with Clazzi.

[Sound of the Week] Fat Cat - Is being pretty everything 예쁜게 다니

Sound of the Week!

Fat Cat released her new single album "Is being pretty everything" recently, and today the MV is available too. I didn't like her first song "Indifferent Love" at first, but it grew on me. And I most definitely like her style and the new kind of feeling, she gives. This single, on the other hand, I liked right away.

Fat Cat (Kim So Young) born in 1990, is also known as "Defconn Girl", since she appeared in one of Defcoon's music videos "How to leave the rapper part 2". She is also a model. Fat Cat debuted with "Indifferent Love" in September 24, 2011 and continued to Inkigayo with it. And now, her new single is out. I'm really looking forward to see more of her.

I really like the message with this video, as well as the artistic performance.
She is most definitely beautiful though, but is being pretty everything?

Dalmatian - All I want for Christmas...

Sound of the Week!

I have missed them SO much, and I really hope they are doing a comeback next year. Otherwise, I will miss them even more! I'm really happy by seeing this, so I'll have to post it as well.
Just three of them though. Daniel, Jisu and YoungWon. And, Oh how I love Daniel's (and Jisu's) voice!

[Sound of the Week] 2AM - Never Let You Go, U-KISS - Tick Tack

Sound of the Week!

It is fantastic that 2AM is back with something. And this time, it is their turn to make a Japanese debut.
I did miss them, it's nice to see them again. I have seen them in live performances though. Well, this video is gorgeous! However, I like the Korean version more. Cause I can sing along with it. But still, this is great. I hope there will be more new music, from them though.

I'm sorry about the sound. It's the best out there, yet.
2AM - Never Let You Go (Japanese Version, Single 2011)

Something extra, worth mentioning is U-KISS Japanese debut as well. I like the song a lot, you get hitched to it easily. And it is a completely new song as well. U-KISS is seriously growing in my heart and appreciation, for every song they release right now. They only get better and better. Even if this was a little bit less, then the album they released a couple of months ago. But still, they are freaking amazing!
I'm also looking forward to the "Someday" MV in January.

[Sound of the Week] San E - I wish you to be unhappy

Sound of the Week!

I really have to double book the sound of the week, this week. Cause I can't leave this alone. It is to good. Late in November, rapper San E released a new single called "I wish you to be unhappy".

San E have been an underground artist, until he joined the JYP Entertainment and released the mini album "Tasty San" in September. Through the album, he made his official debut in the Korean music market. He was dubbed as a rap prodigy, on the Public Korean Music Awards. He said himself, that he joined JYPE to get his name out to the public, but that he still creates his own music himself. Produced both by him and Park Jin Young (JYP) though. However, the production style of it was done in his own taste.

Well, this tune is fantastic anyways. His rap are most definitely great and mind-blowing.
I will update this with the MV, as soon as it releases. I couldn't wait though. The lyrics are something of its own too.
With no further ado.

San E - I wish you to be unhappy (불행했음 좋겠다) feat. Bee Of Rphabet

I’m to sad to cry, to sad to sing a love song.
So I’m gonna rap for this one - fuck it.
It's not cute anymore, your lies disgust me.
Don't shiver, don't talk to me, don't hold my hand, go away.
You make the same mistakes, and you can't look into my eyes.
And you're probably going to say, it's the last time again.

"It's my mistake, I'm sorry, I'll be good from now on"
No, I'm more sorry, because I'm not going to continue this.
Is this the love that you were talking about?
Are you proud that you're crying? Are you even human?

Yes, I loved you but I hate you now.
Now I don't care about what happens to you.
Are you saying that you love me right now? How dare you.
You say that I'm your everything, - but you're not for me.
Don't misunderstand, - I can be better off without you.
I'm repeating myself, but I can live only if I don't have you.
Memories? Give those things to the dogs. Piss off before I start swearing.
Please disappear from my life.

* I wish you are unhappy.
Because I don't have to be happy or in love.
I pray that you will regret all your life.
I wish you are unhappy.

* I’m sorry, so so so sorry. That I couldn't be a gentleman and swore.

I guess this is all I am, since I'm such a loser.
I'm sorry, so so so sorry. That I'm not nice enough to wish you happiness.
But what should I do? If I don't, this is so unfair.

So lovely, so lovely you once were, but now you're ugly, so ugly ugly.

So lovely, so lovely you once were, but now you're ugly, the problem is -

You think that I'll become weak at our past memories.
But what to do? This time, it's not that bad.
Maybe we were just pretending to be in love.
Maybe this strong unbreakable thing was attachment and not love.
Why are you upset, I don't understand, it's to hard.
My mouth is foul, stop crying, stop pretending to cry, it's gross.
Get your act together, this isn't love but a restriction.
Stop pretending to be nice, to be weak, but just tie up your hands.

Don't make excuses, just zip your mouth.
Even if you say you will die if we break up, I don't care.
You liar, I'm sick and tired. Now take off that mask of pretending to be pitiful, and good bye yo.

Are you listening to this song? It's about you.
I don't pray for you, but I curse you. I'll never forgive, it's revenge.
I don't have time to waste, don't ever call me again.
This is it, my message is - I'm done with you.
Breaking up with you, the end.
* Ref.
So lovely, so lovely you once were but now you're ugly so ugly ugly
So lovely, so lovely you once were but now you're ugly- the problem is-
We were never meant to be.

[Sound of the Week] DJ Clazzi ft. Seulong - How we feel

Sound of the Week!

Im Seulong and DJ Clazzi gives a brand new sound into Korean music? I like this song really much, which have a whole new feeling to it. Actually, it reminds me a bit of vocaloid sounds sometimes. And a little bit of 8-bit sound thrown into it, to become a great mix of cotton candy for your ears. It is new for Korean music though.

Im Seulong is born in 1987, and are originally the vocalist of 2AM. They are the other branch of the two subgroups, under JYP Entertainment, with the other one being 2PM.
They pre-debuted along side with 2PM, with their trainee documentary. In 2008, they debuted as 2AM, with the song "This Song".
In 2010, they released their first full album "Saint o'clock". They won on Inkigayo with the song "You wouldn't answer my calls", in November 2010. After this, they haven't had a comeback yet. But they are talking about a Japanese debut, in 2012.
Anyway, Seulong are worthy of more credit. Actually, he is in the drama "Personal Taste" as a gay guy, "in love" with the main male protagonist. Just a little side note.

DJ Clazzi (Kim Sung Hoon) is the composer, mixer and producer of the group Clazziquai, also known as Clazziquai project. Their genre being electronic, house and acid jazz.
The other members are, Horan (Choi Soo Jin) - which is the female vocalist of the group.
And Alex (Chu Hun Gon) - which is the male vocalist. Alex made a solo career in 2008, while Clazziquai temporary was on a hiatus. In 2009, Clazziquai came back. After this, they haven't done anything else.

But now, DJ Clazzi is back in collaboration with Seulong!

Well, I really hope that he will give out more music like this. Because I fell for it completely, since I like all the sounds. The MV is really weird though. Especially since Koreans usually wouldn't show nudity. It's completely random as well. But sure, weird works.
I'm in love with the sound at 2.23 ~

[Sound of the Week] Jang Woo Hyuk - Back to the memories

Sound of the Week!

I fell for Jang Woo Hyuk, when he did his comeback as a soloartist. Before this, he was in the five member band H.O.T, which debuted in 1996 and disbanded in 2001. When H.O.T disbanded, Jang Woo Hyuk, Tony An and Lee Jae Woon formed the group JTL. The group didn't make it, since a few of them went into the army during different times. And all of them began to pursue solo careers, Jang Woo Hyuk was the last one to do so.

Since his time in H.O.T, his dance have really improved. He is very praised for his dancing nowadays. He mainly dance waving, popping and strobing.
Jang Woo Hyuk is born in 1978, but doesn't really look like it? He was the main rapper in H.O.T, but have evolved that at lot since then too. A lot becomes better with time.

Anyway, he released a mini album called "Back to the memories" a while ago. Which includes four songs. And on November 18th, he released the MV for the main track. The girl and Jang Woo Hyuk's partner in the MV, is Lim Jae In, a new actress.

Jang Woo Hyuk feat. Jo Hyuna - Back to the memories (기억에게 외치다) (Back to the memories mini album 2011)

I think mainly that the video is beautiful, and the thought behind it is great. Sometimes I wish for that kind of shoes... if they only worked. The tune is getting better and better, alongside the video.

LED Apple (Korean band)

☆ Sound of the Week! ☆ Video of the Week!

This time, I will smash the sound of the week, together with the video of the week. Since it all connects.

LED Apple is coming out strong now. And the sound they are bringing, really grows on me more and more.
LED Apple debuted in 2010 with a remake of Baek Ji Young's song "DASH". They gave it an entire makeover, with their rock sound. LED Apple is under the label STORY Entertainment, and where kept a secret until they debuted. Story Entertainment wanted them to become successful through their abilities, entirely. - They will become an idol group that can dance, sing rock and ballads and play instruments, all at once. Unfortunately they changed the members to many times.

In June, 2011, LED Apple did a comeback with the single "Who do you think you are", with a few changed members. And with that mini album, they released four new songs other than the main single.
Today, they made a comeback stage with "Someone met by chance" on Inkigayo. The "CODA" single album came out this November with the mentioned song, and also a DJ remix on "Who do you think you are"

I like the feeling and the fact that they are a band who plays instruments. A bit like C.N Blue and F.T Island, which I adore. I shouldn't compare those though. They don't really have the same feeling, just that all of them are a "band" - more than a "singing group".

LED Apple started of as a five members band, but people have left and others have arrived. And finally they are a band with six members, changing it a third time. Since this is confusing for me too. I don't really have a lot of info about them.

From left to right, above - Young Jun, Kwang Yeon, KeonU.
From left to right, below - Hyo Seuk, Kyu Min, Han Byul

(Click for larger image)

Young Jun (Seo Young Jun) born in 1990, Guitarist and Leader.
Han Byul (Jang Han Byul) born in 1990, Main Vocalist and rap.
Kyu Min (Lee Kyu Min) born in 1993, Main rapper and vocal.
Kwang Yeon (Kim Kwang Yeon) former ZEU, born in 1993, Bassist and rap.
Hyo Seuk (Kim Hyo Seok) born in 1993, Drummer.
KeonU (Park Keon Woo) born in 1991, DJ

As you may see, Han Byul and KeonU are new members before the comeback now in November, 2011. Before this, Jae Hoon where the Vocal of the group. And they where only five members in total. Now, in the live performance KeonU plays the keyboard and seems to be some sort of DJ, since the band have other sounds than just the regular band sounds. So I call him a digital performer.

Anyways, first off is the [Video of the Week] - And this have been hyped because actor Nam Gyu Ri is in it, as a very cool cyborg girl. She acted in the drama "49 Days", one of my favorite dramas this year. And Nam Gyu Ri, is really well fit to be a flawless cyborg.
LED Apple's MV's are pretty high budget nowadays. A lot of improvement from before. This "drama version" is really beautiful.

LED Apple - Someone met by chance (Boy met Girl) [Drama version, before the actual MV]

And then, moving on to the MV of the tune and the [Sound of the Week] - I like the guitar Young Jun have, I want one. Don't know if it really works though.

LED Apple - Someone met by chance (Boy met Girl) (CODA mini album 2011)
The song starts at 1.20 ~

[Sound of the Week] T-ara - Wae Ireoni

☆ Sound of the Week!

So I was trying to decide the sound of the week, and I reminded myself that I have been listening to a certain song a lot lately.

Actually, as I said before - I don't easily fall for songs from girl groups, because a lot of them sound exactly the same and sound way to childlike in their voices. But I kind of like T-ara though.
I did not like "Roly-Poly" at all and neither did I like "Log-in". I do like "Ya-ya-ya", "Ma Boo (remix)", "Mollayo (remix)"  and "Wae Ireoni", from the "John Travolta wannabe" album. - the later song being the one I'm posting and have listen to a lot lately.

T-ara started of with five members, two leaving and then three additional being added. And finally one more being added to the conclusion, which is the result today and concludes to seven members. T-ara has a system of rotating the leadership amongst themselves, and therefore have different leaders every year - just to make sure that everyone of them evolves and the group can grow in different directions.

Boram (Jeon Bo ram) born 1986. Vocalist. 3rd leader.
Qri (Lee Ji Hyun) born 1986. Vocalist.
Soyeon (Park In Jung) born 1987. Main vocalist.
Eunjung (Ham Eun Jung) born 1988. Lead vocalist and lead rapper. 2nd leader.
Hyomin (Park Sun Young) born 1989. 4th and current leader (2011), lead vocalist, lead dancer and rapper.
Jiyeon (Park Ji Yeon) born 1993. Vocalist, visual, main dancer.
Hwayoung (Ryu Hwa Young) born 1993. Main rapper and a vocalist.

T-ara - 왜 이러니 (Wae Ireoni/Why are you being like this) (Temptastic mini album 2010)

But actually, I like the remix more ~ (John Travolta wannabe mini album 2011)

[Sound fo the Week] Tablo ft. Jinshil - Bad

☆ Sound of the Week!

Tablo signed a four year contract with YG Entertainment, in September this year. His solo album "Fever's End part 2" is counted to be out in November. But already now, he have released a few singles, with the album "Fever's End Part 1". The singles being, "Airbag" featuring Naul (Brown eyed soul), "Home" featuring Lee Sora, "High tide" featuring DJ Friz of planet shiver,  "Bad" featuring Jinshil and also "From the bottom" featuring Bumkey. And now he also gave out "Tomorrow" featuring Taeyang (Big bang).

Tablo is the leader and rapper of the band "Epic High". He produced almost all the songs together with Dj Tukutz and made the lyrics together with Mithra Jin. The group went on a hiatus, when Dj Tukutz was enlisted into the military service. He is back now, but Mithra Jin is still there.

Well, anyhow. I fell for this song... It's beautiful. The two other tunes are also really great and full of feeling. But I feel mostly for this. There are also a lot of hints and meaning to this video. It can indicate a lot. If you know the lyrics, you get it though.

Tablo feat Jinshil - Bad (2011)

[Sound of the Week] Wheesung - He is coming

☆ Sound of the Week!

Wheesung had his new mini album released not long ago. The album "He is coming", consisted of five songs - where I got stuck in none less then "He is coming", the most.
The other songs, "Music", "UUU", "OJ" and "Oh Lonely" is also worth listening to.

Wheesung (Choi Hwee Sung) is born in 1982. He debuted in 1999 with a band called A4, but it wasn't long until he became one of his own. He started of in YG Entertainment, but now he is signed under YMC Entertainment after a lot of changes.

So this one is a calm and nice tune, directed into R&B a lot... since that's the genre Wheesung is all about.

[Sound of the Week] C.N Blue - In my head

☆ Sound of the Week!

C.N Blue came with a new song, "In my head", just a while ago. And it stuck pretty quickly in my head, too. It's more of a rock/pop sound again, and I like it a lot.
In September they also released the "392" Japanese album. And in November they start their Asia tour, "BlueStorm". Starting of in Semtember 17-18 in Seoul though. And move on to Bangkok in November 19, Jakarta the 26th and Hong Kong January 7, 2012.
Well... I'm just gonna sit here and... Be happy for the ones being able to see them.

Yong Hwa (Jung Yong Hwa) is the main vocalist, main rapper and leader. Born in 1989.
Jong Hyun (Lee Jong Hyun) born in 1990. The groups lead guitarist and a vocalist.
Min Hyuk (Kang Min Hyuk) is the drummer and backing vocalist. Born in 1991.
Jung Shin (Lee Jung Shin) is the bassist, rapper and backing vocalist.

[Sound of the Week] ZE:A - 왜요 (Why)

☆ Sound of the Week!

ZE:A is a group I listen to a lot. I really, really like this one. It plays in my headphones pretty often. A  calm and soothing tune.

Jun Young (Moon Jun Young) is the leader and a vocalist. He is born in 1989.
Kevin (Kim Ji Yeop) is born in 1988, raised in Australia. He is the lead vocalist and sub rapper

Kwang Hee (Hwang Kwang Hee) are a sub vocalist and born in 1988.
Si Wan (Im Woong Jae) is a vocalist and born in 1988.
Tae Heon (Kim Tae Heon) is the main rapper, and born in 1989.
Hee Chul (Jung Hee Cheol) is the lead rapper, born in late 1989.
Min Woo (Ha Min Woo) is the main dancer and sub vocalist, born in 1990.

[Sound of the Week] Steropony and Kariyushi58 - Tatoeba Utaenaku Nattara

☆ Sound of the Week!

I started listening to Stereopony (ステレオポニー), when I first saw "Darker than Black - Ryûsei no Gemini". Since Stereopony had the opening song "Tsukiakari no Michishirube" for the mentioned anime. From then on I've always liked them. But I kind of missed out on them for a while...

They did a collaboration with Kariyushi58 (かりゆし58) in August 10, 2011. Both Stereopony and Kariyushi58 is from Okinawa.
The single "Tatoeba Utaenaku nattara" stuck in my mind right away. I adore Aimi's vocie.

[Sound of the Week] Big Bang - Tell me Goodbye

☆ Sound of the Week!

My all time favorite Big Bang! Always listening to them, and I always have different favorite songs, depending on mood.
This week have been all about "Tell me Goodbye". A beautiful tune overall, and I adore T.O.P's part at 2.38 ~
The MV is also beautiful, and I'm literally shredding tears watching and hearing it. G.D's part at the beginning is a fangasm.

Big Bang - Tell me Goodbye (Big Bang 2 Japanese album 2011)

I have been listening to IRIS soundtrack/OST a lot too. Should probably watch that drama sometime. But I usually have way to much drama series, on my "to-watch-list". And IRIS isn't the usual genre I would go for. But soon enough.

[Sound of the Week] Bump of Chicken - Sento Erumo no hi

☆ Sound of the Week!

I have always loved Bump of Chicken's music, and their lyrics. I never get tired of them, and always come back to them - from time to time.
Their lyrics are kind of special, you can really relate to it easily. Since the lyrics are very "open" and you can read in what you feel into it, depending on how you, yourself, read and understand it.

Bump of Chicken - Sento erumo no hi (Cosmonaut album 2010)

Will I be able to catch up with you before the night ends? We're on the same hill road, in different locations.
Walking towards the same place, I wonder what kind of face you're making right now.

I wonder how far along are you?

We both know as much words as the other, the number of words we'd both don't know is also the same.
I willfully followed you, so don't mind me and just go, See?
We are in the same boat.

How far are you? I wonder if you've noticed how beautiful the stars are?
If I've noticed, it's thanks to you, because I was always looking upwards.

The path suddenly became precipitous, I need to use my hands.
I hope I won't injure myself while I climb here.
It's when I stood still that I realized it's so cold it makes me laugh, I should have brought a coat.

When we tried to understand each other, we became lost. No matter how close or faraway we are, we are both such a bother.
That's why I followed you, I'm easy to understand, it's a little tiresome, but it's fun.

How far are you? I wonder if you've found that small flower shivering.
If I'm not scared of the dark, it's thanks to you, because it's the path you walked on too.

There is nothing I want to say, there is nothing I want to hear.
But there are a few things I want to transmit to you.

There is no worth at all, to the absurd truth.
Of me having followed you, but I just wanted you to know that much.

I wonder how far along are you? I wonder how far apart we are?

I'll rest while I tie my shoelaces and I know it's a mere detail, but canteens are convenient.
Silence smiled at the night sky I laid down under, and the moon sways as it blurs.

My heart is full of something I don't understand, my legs still move even though I'm that tired.
I wasn't walking in the same direction as you, I'm walking towards you.

How far are you? Existing together is not something easy.
We came this far by earnestly deciphering the other's breath.
How far are you? If you haven't noticed the song I've unleashed
I'll sing it anytime, it's thanks to you, because you always look for me
And because you always find me.

I wonder what kind of face you're making right now, it's a little tiresome, but it's fun
See? We are in the same boat. And now, which song should I sing?
I wonder how far along are you? I wonder how far apart we are?
I wonder how much I've caught up to you?
And now, which song should I sing?

Big Bang goes - Party rock Anthem

☆ Sound of the Week!

So, it's like this. I've been to a convention, yet again. With cosplaying, anime, manga, games - you name it.
And both this conventions I've been to this year, had the song "LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem" as a kind of theme song... probably. Well, they played it a lot.
Anyway... I connect it to conventions, as soon as I hear it. When I hear it, I just want to go back to all those amazing people - who likes the same nerdy stuff as me. It brings out good memories.

I just stumbled over this a few days ago... My favorite two boys in my most nostalgic song - made a pretty awesome remix.

Big Band vs LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem goes High High

It would be priceless if G.D and T.O.P started shuffling too.
But seriously, the transmission between the two songs is freaking great! They cut it in perfection, so it really fits. "Klockrent" as I would say in Swedish.
