[Video of the Week] John Park - Falling

☆ Video of the Week!

John Park, born in Chicago 1988. Became the semi finalist in American Idol, in the ninth season. And later, he also finished second in the Korean "Superstar K2". Now, he have released his new mini album "Knock". Which includes five songs, and one of them being "falling". I love this MV, it have a lot of symbolism into it. And it is truly beautiful. And John Park really brings it to the fullest.

[Video of the Week] LEDApple - Time is up

☆ Video of the Week!

I am seriously amazed by LEDApple. They really bring it, in every way. Their videos are stunning, and their sound are different. I like them a lot, with their rock/pop music and special effects.
Remember the beautiful video "Someone meet by chance" with Nam Gyu Ri? Well, in my opinion this new video doesn't beat that one, but it is really close. And I like the song better.
LEDApple released their new song "Time is up" a couple of days ago. And also the new MV for it.

The members of LEDApple is still;
Han Byul, born in 1990, Vocalist.
Young Jun, born in 1990, Guitar.
Kyu Min, born in 1993, Rap and vocal.
Kwang Yeon (ZEU), born in 1993, Bass.
Hyo Seuk, born in 1993, Drum.
KeonU, born in 1991, DJ

[Video of the Week] F.T Island - Severely 지독하게

☆ Video of the Week!

F.T Island released their new album "Grown-up", and it surely is a new "grown-up" sound from their part. The new mini album consists of five new calm songs, with "Severely" as the main track. They have already done an MV for the main track as well, which I think reminds way to much about JYJ's MV for "In Heaven". But you should probably not compare the two. They just remind of each other, with the concept.
"Severely" sounds great with the subtle rock tunes in there. And Hong Ki's voice is great as always. And I love his new haircut.

F.T Island - Severely 지독하게 (Grown-Up mini album 2012)

I'm actually putting in JYJ's video as well. The whole thing is 10 minutes long thou... But it's worth looking at.

[Video of the Week] Lee Hyun - Because it's you 너니까

☆ Video of the Week!

Lee Hyun, from 8eight, released a new album now in January. The album "The Healing Echo" consists of nine songs in total. One of them is out in an amazingly artsy and beautiful music video. Actually, I like some of the other songs in the album better. So it's unfortunate there is no MV's for those... yet. But this is really artistic. I really like it.

[Video of the Week] Jay Park - Star

☆ Video of the Week!

Jay Park released a new mini album yesterday night, "New Breed Part 1". He released the song "Star" at first, but later released the whole album, which reached the top of the charts right away.
 The album consists of five new songs;

1. Star
2. Enjoy the show (ft. Dok2 & The Quiett)
3. Up and Down (ft. Dok2)
4. I got your back
5. I can't be without you (acoustic version)

Actually, I didn't really get caught up in this album... Yet. I'm surprised as well. Because I really like Jay Park. My favorite among the tunes is "Up and Down", though. It have a really nice beat to it, and a catchy choir. "Enjoy the show" have a really cool sound in the background and is a little bit rougher with the rapping.  But all in all, the album isn't great in my opinion.
But Jay Park is always worth mentioning. The MV for "Star" came out pretty quickly as well. And the more I listen to Star, the better it gets. Especially together with the video.

[Video of the Week] Skrillex - Live in Stockholm

☆ Video(s) of the Week!

The 21/11-11 was Skrillex show, in Stockholm. And I was there, to see it and hear it. It was pretty cool actually. We got extremely tired afterwards, since we danced like rabbits from hell. It was hard walking to the hostel after the show. And we had to travel home, kind of early the day after too. But it all worked out well. Sweaty, hungry and tired...
I liked the show, and now I have seen Skrillex live. Now I don't need to, again. It was a great show, but not a memorable show. It was great being there, but afterwards - it was like it didn't even happen and I just wanted to go home.

I have some prof for myself though. If I start thinking it was all a dream or something. I filmed some of the show, but -
1. I had a hard time standing still, while filming.
2. The videos are filmed with my cell, so it isn't great. Neither the image or sound.
But I have tried to fix it a bit. So it is bearable.

I have a video which is 10 ~ minutes long too. But that one will not be uploaded here...

Before Skrillex, we got to see Flux Pavillion as well. He was really great too.
Oh yeah, the little black figure in the background of the screen - is actually Skrillex.

Skrillex - La roux In for the Kill (Live in Sthlm)

Skrillex - Promises (my name is skrillex, scary monsters and nice sprites) (Live in Sthlm)
My cell didn't like the changes between the different songs or something.

LED Apple (Korean band)

☆ Sound of the Week! ☆ Video of the Week!

This time, I will smash the sound of the week, together with the video of the week. Since it all connects.

LED Apple is coming out strong now. And the sound they are bringing, really grows on me more and more.
LED Apple debuted in 2010 with a remake of Baek Ji Young's song "DASH". They gave it an entire makeover, with their rock sound. LED Apple is under the label STORY Entertainment, and where kept a secret until they debuted. Story Entertainment wanted them to become successful through their abilities, entirely. - They will become an idol group that can dance, sing rock and ballads and play instruments, all at once. Unfortunately they changed the members to many times.

In June, 2011, LED Apple did a comeback with the single "Who do you think you are", with a few changed members. And with that mini album, they released four new songs other than the main single.
Today, they made a comeback stage with "Someone met by chance" on Inkigayo. The "CODA" single album came out this November with the mentioned song, and also a DJ remix on "Who do you think you are"

I like the feeling and the fact that they are a band who plays instruments. A bit like C.N Blue and F.T Island, which I adore. I shouldn't compare those though. They don't really have the same feeling, just that all of them are a "band" - more than a "singing group".

LED Apple started of as a five members band, but people have left and others have arrived. And finally they are a band with six members, changing it a third time. Since this is confusing for me too. I don't really have a lot of info about them.

From left to right, above - Young Jun, Kwang Yeon, KeonU.
From left to right, below - Hyo Seuk, Kyu Min, Han Byul

(Click for larger image)

Young Jun (Seo Young Jun) born in 1990, Guitarist and Leader.
Han Byul (Jang Han Byul) born in 1990, Main Vocalist and rap.
Kyu Min (Lee Kyu Min) born in 1993, Main rapper and vocal.
Kwang Yeon (Kim Kwang Yeon) former ZEU, born in 1993, Bassist and rap.
Hyo Seuk (Kim Hyo Seok) born in 1993, Drummer.
KeonU (Park Keon Woo) born in 1991, DJ

As you may see, Han Byul and KeonU are new members before the comeback now in November, 2011. Before this, Jae Hoon where the Vocal of the group. And they where only five members in total. Now, in the live performance KeonU plays the keyboard and seems to be some sort of DJ, since the band have other sounds than just the regular band sounds. So I call him a digital performer.

Anyways, first off is the [Video of the Week] - And this have been hyped because actor Nam Gyu Ri is in it, as a very cool cyborg girl. She acted in the drama "49 Days", one of my favorite dramas this year. And Nam Gyu Ri, is really well fit to be a flawless cyborg.
LED Apple's MV's are pretty high budget nowadays. A lot of improvement from before. This "drama version" is really beautiful.

LED Apple - Someone met by chance (Boy met Girl) [Drama version, before the actual MV]

And then, moving on to the MV of the tune and the [Sound of the Week] - I like the guitar Young Jun have, I want one. Don't know if it really works though.

The song starts at 1.20 ~

[Video of the Week] Tablo ft. Taeyang - Tomorrow

☆ Video of the Week!

A little of a dedication to Big Bang, after winning MTV EMA. Not really as much credit to Big Bang, as to Tablo though. Since it is Tablo's song, and the only other person in it, from Big Bang, is Taeyang - but still, a little dedication.

Tablo is growing on me more and more, the more I listen to his music. But that is most often the case, when you listen to something almost everyday. "Bad" is still my favorite though. But this one is certainly good too. And the video is nice. - The usual Taeyang dance in there, and then Tablo and him walking around in a desert with dangerous fast-pacing cars, driving around them in circles. And also a helicopter, which brings even more distraction in a beautiful way.

You can see it as a very simpleminded video, or ... you can read in a lot of symbolism for this video too. Tablo have some really great way of telling his story, through the videos. I'm sincerely impressed. It was the same with the "Bad" MV. Keep going Tablo, I'm rooting for you.

[Video of the Week] Gummy ft. T.O.P - I'm Sorry

☆ Video of the Week!

I don't like the music that much, actually. I normally like Gummy though, but this song is the same lyrics over and over again - in an never ending story. It has some likable tune to it though. But I do like the video, not only because of T.O.P - It's just simply beautiful with the birds and the ending.
This is the Japanese version, which I like more. And they made the MV for it, very recently.

Gummy (Park Ji Yeon) is under Y.G Entertainment. She debuted in 2003 with her album "Like them". She is born in 1981.

[Video of the Week] 2NE1 - It hurts

☆ Video of the Week!

This one is simply beautiful. I like the feeling of it a lot, and I also like their props, and the whole thought behind it.
One things for sure though, I wouldn't want Sandaras hair... damn, what a pain. But surely beautiful.
