[Sound of the Week] Sungha Jung

I really love Sungha Jung and have for quite some time. He always plays so beautifully and I'm so incredible amazed by him. And he have most definitely brought it to life, yet again. This time he plays Big Bang - Blue, and it is breathtaking.
I actually found him trough his youtube account, when searching for Super Mario sounds. He plays some awesome Super Mario theme with his ukulele. I wish I could play guitar just half as good as him.

Sungha Jung is born 1996 and he is probably a prodigy child. It takes him three days, to learn and practice a new piece. His youtube video "Pirates of the Caribbean theme" have about 28,405,644 views, and he have become pretty popular through the Internet. He have also released two albums so far, "perfect blue" in 2010 and "Irony" in 2011. And as far as I know, he's a Big Bang fan. (That, we like)

[News] Big Bang - Alive mini album

I can imagine that it's not just me, sitting like a freaking fangirl-mongo right now. Big Bang released their new mini album "Alive", and they are surely bringing it to live. From the intro to the last song, it is just more then expected. It is most definitely different from before. Which I see as something really good. I've always loved Big Bang, right from the start. But in the music business you have to evolve, and they really do. I am as always impressed by G.D who wrote the music, yet again. He is and always will be one of my biggest inspirations and I will always look up to him.
The comeback can not be better, can it!? I'm mighty pleased and impressed.

The album consists of seven songs;
1. Intro (Alive)
2. Blue
3. 사랑먼지 (Love Dust)
4. Bad Boy
5. 재미없어 (Ain't no Fun)
6. Fantastic baby
7. 날개 (Wings) Daesung Solo

My favorites so far is "Blue", "Love Dust" and "Fantastic baby". But truthfully, I love everyone of them. They bring something different, in every song. Daesung's solo is also great and beautiful. And I would really love if they did a complete song, of their intro sound. Damn, that intro is amazing.
It's a lot of electro sounds in "Fantastic baby" and a very special feeling with it. The 'Bom shakalaka' in "Fantastic baby" is pretty funny too. And I love T.O.P's dark voice in all of the songs, especially in "Bad boy".
It's more of an electro and hip hop sound to it all - just like Taeyang said in an interview. It is not as much rap in this album, as it usually is. And I both like and dislike that. I miss a part with T.O.P rapping... but I will survive with his amazing voice, like this too. And maybe 'fantastic baby' involve some rap in some way thou. All in all - this album is amazing. They really did a powerful comeback. And I really hope they will be able to keep it up now.
Big Bang, Hwaiting!

[News] Big Bang - Bad Boy

Another MV is out, from Big Bang's new album "Alive". And I will most definitely talk a lot (nag) about Big Bang for a while. Who wouldn't when they finally do a comeback.
Between "Blue" and "Bad Boy", I'll have to say that I like "Blue" a lot more... But needles to say, I look forward to their album like crazy. It is really something special and I think... No, I know that their whole album is more then great! (I absolutely adore "Love Dust")

I like the "Bad Boy" music video a lot. Thou, why do G.D have that fake fringe... Well, anyways, everyone looks great in this video as well. It looks a bit cold thou. And the dance-moves are just in perfect amount. And the way they film it is beautiful. A bit like "Love song", when they just pop up on the screen. A very soothing feeling indeed.

[Video of the Week] John Park - Falling

☆ Video of the Week!

John Park, born in Chicago 1988. Became the semi finalist in American Idol, in the ninth season. And later, he also finished second in the Korean "Superstar K2". Now, he have released his new mini album "Knock". Which includes five songs, and one of them being "falling". I love this MV, it have a lot of symbolism into it. And it is truly beautiful. And John Park really brings it to the fullest.

KBS Music Bank in Paris (After - fanvideos)

So, I'm a bit late with this. But I had a lot on my plate when I got home from Paris. A lot of school to catch up on and a boyfriend to see. I had missed out a lot on both. *hehe*
Well, how was it? It was amazing, great, awesome, and I will most definitely do it again. But with some changes on the hostel matter, and the time for the flight back home. Paris in the winter, is not really for me. It's a lot more pleasant in the summer. And the hostel, that we got to share with to guys for two nights, wasn't that nice either.
But the gain was that I was with Teri the whole time. We made that filthy room a castle with our royal farts. And laughed our asses of with our weird jokes. We survived it fairly well, cause we have each other.

First day - We saw Music Bank kpop festival of course! And here are some videos I manage to get. I mostly watched it for myself, instead of recording. Teri and I was right next to the scene. So we actually saw everyone for real. Even though, it felt really surreal.

And thats all I got. Not much, but the experience and the feeling of being there is enough. I have my memories with both seeing a lot of my favorites, and also being with great friends through this happening. SHINee was at the Eiffel tower, when we where about 500 meters away. The food was great, I ate toad and chicken feet in Chinatown. I drank Bubble-tea there as well. I ate Italian food and bought ear cushions on some market outside. I drank wine and cocktails. We saw half of Paris and we played games all night. I had a really great time with the people I went with. Lets do more together, in the future. And hopefully it will be warmer by then. Otherwise we will keep each other warm.

[Sound of the Week] Big Bang - Blue

Sound of the Week!

Guess who's back, back again, Big Bang is back, tell a friend!
And I couldn't be happier! The song is amazing as well. And I have been listening to it on repeat, this entire day. It's a "sad" song, but I'm getting a warm and cozy feeling from it. I'm feeling cheerful. And I'm probably gonna listen to it as much, as I did with "Love song" - until I get really tired of it. Which I rarely get with Big Bang, so no... probably not going to get tired of it anyways.

And the MV... wow! It's beautiful as well as artistic. I love everyones new hairstyles, I really like Daesung in his blonde hair. And its also nice to see Seungri in something else. And well, T.O.P looks good in anything, and as always - I want G.D's clothes. I'm getting emotional to see everyone of them in line.

KBS Music Bank in Paris (Soon to be there)

Part.4
So, through all the problems and all the worry - it is finally here. Today I am packing all the last things and making everything fit for fight... or fit for flight. We have been looking forward to this for ages and now, the day is soon here.

I'm going to bed really early, to get a few hours of sleep before. And then I have to jump out of bed in the middle of the night (tonight). We are going by car, and picking up three of my friends. Then we will be listening to Korean music to boost ourselves in the car, and eat a lot of cookies. When we reach the airport, there will be two more of our friends there. And we will be hyper from all the sugar and thrill. And then we will flyyyyyy to France.
After that, we have to find the bus which will take us into town. And then it's all the different metro's to reach the hostel. And on the hostel we will throw our bags into some room, and wait for two more friends who's getting there by another airplane. Then it's time to fix ourselves to the best, and head towards the MUSIC BANK K-POP CONCERT! And standing in line for hours and freeze our asses of. But thats all worth it.
Hopefully I will have a lot of pictures afterwards.Though I have no own camera, I have to rely on my friends cameras and my phone. But I will surely update my blog about it, afterwards.
After music bank, we will have a lot of vacation days as well. It's not only music bank, it is Paris. And we will eat everything we can, and see everything we want. And just be... I wont be thinking about anything other then being there. Everything else will just be, until I get home again. It will be great to see my dream idols, but also to be with my friends.

Well, two hours until I have to sleep. *Ha!* I wont be able to succeed in getting any sleep, probably.
(I will fall asleep on the airplane or in the line, on top of my friends)
Everyone who's going there - See you!

.It will be one of the best experiences in my life.

[Video of the Week] LEDApple - Time is up

☆ Video of the Week!

I am seriously amazed by LEDApple. They really bring it, in every way. Their videos are stunning, and their sound are different. I like them a lot, with their rock/pop music and special effects.
Remember the beautiful video "Someone meet by chance" with Nam Gyu Ri? Well, in my opinion this new video doesn't beat that one, but it is really close. And I like the song better.
LEDApple released their new song "Time is up" a couple of days ago. And also the new MV for it.

The members of LEDApple is still;
Han Byul, born in 1990, Vocalist.
Young Jun, born in 1990, Guitar.
Kyu Min, born in 1993, Rap and vocal.
Kwang Yeon (ZEU), born in 1993, Bass.
Hyo Seuk, born in 1993, Drum.
KeonU, born in 1991, DJ

[Sound of the Week] Jay Park - Know your name

Sound of the Week!

Jay Park released a special album "Take variety of my life". With the new song "Know your name" in different versions. Acoustic version, electronic version, R&B version and a original version with Dok2. The different versions fit your own mood, for the moment. He also released the new, "New Breed" full album, with fifteen songs in total.

And the version of "know your name" with Dok2 is already out in a music video, absolutely in my taste. I get to see Jay Park dance again, so I'm happy.

And... the acoustic version ~ Jay Park - Know Your Name (Acoustic version)

It's like two completely different sounds, it's interesting.

[Video of the Week] F.T Island - Severely 지독하게

☆ Video of the Week!

F.T Island released their new album "Grown-up", and it surely is a new "grown-up" sound from their part. The new mini album consists of five new calm songs, with "Severely" as the main track. They have already done an MV for the main track as well, which I think reminds way to much about JYJ's MV for "In Heaven". But you should probably not compare the two. They just remind of each other, with the concept.
"Severely" sounds great with the subtle rock tunes in there. And Hong Ki's voice is great as always. And I love his new haircut.

F.T Island - Severely 지독하게 (Grown-Up mini album 2012)

I'm actually putting in JYJ's video as well. The whole thing is 10 minutes long thou... But it's worth looking at.

[Sound of the Week] Clazzi ft. Lee Seung Yeol & MYK - Love & Hate

Sound of the Week!

Dj Clazzi released his new album "Infant" a few days ago. I love the fact that he collaborates with singers who may be a little bit more unknown. He collaborates with Jang Woo Hyuk, Jinsil, Seulong and MYK among others though.

The Infant album;
1. Bad Girl (feat. Whale of W&Whale)
2. Love & Hate (feat. Lee Seung Yeol & MYK)
3. Where's dance (feat. Jinsil of Mad Soul Child)
4. 40 Nights (현송&수륜 of Koxx)
5. Star Child (feat. Christina & MYK)
6. How we feel (feat. Seulong of 2AM)
7. Can Only Feel (feat. Kim Wan Seon)
8. Loving You (feat. Jang Woo Hyuk & Jo Hyun Ah of Urban Zakapa)
9. Sexy Doll (feat. Kota & Jubi of SunnyHill, MYK)
10. Crazy for Love (Christina)
11. How we feel (Remix version) (Bonus track)

I have to say, I love this album. It is amazing and thrilling. Every song is something new, and a new treat. I love Jinsil's voice from before, I am a big fan of Jang Woo Hyuk and MYK is great! Koxx is new for me, but they also did a great job. Christina's voice is just amazing. Yes, I actually love every song on this album. Some more then others, but still...
And moving on to a new Clazzi MV, with Lee Seung Yeol on the vocal and MYK for the rap parts. "Love & Hate" is most definitely Love for me!
I actually get a feeling of the Swedish band "Kent" from this tune somehow. But MYK makes it better. My favorite part is MYK's "singing" part at 2.30 ~
And the video itself is exiting as always, with Clazzi.

[Sound of the Week] Fat Cat - Is being pretty everything 예쁜게 다니

Sound of the Week!

Fat Cat released her new single album "Is being pretty everything" recently, and today the MV is available too. I didn't like her first song "Indifferent Love" at first, but it grew on me. And I most definitely like her style and the new kind of feeling, she gives. This single, on the other hand, I liked right away.

Fat Cat (Kim So Young) born in 1990, is also known as "Defconn Girl", since she appeared in one of Defcoon's music videos "How to leave the rapper part 2". She is also a model. Fat Cat debuted with "Indifferent Love" in September 24, 2011 and continued to Inkigayo with it. And now, her new single is out. I'm really looking forward to see more of her.

I really like the message with this video, as well as the artistic performance.
She is most definitely beautiful though, but is being pretty everything?

Kpop people unite!

I just heard that a girl in Sweden have been talking to the Korean embassy, in Sweden. The man she talked to, were very positive and said some good news. If they manage to fill Ericsson Globe Arena (Globen) in Stockholm, the embassy will try to get k-pop band(s) and make a concert or two.

So, lets try to help out! If you by any chance would travel and see a k-pop concert in Sweden, then just click the link and follow the instructions. Simple as that. This would help with the awareness of k-pop fans in mainly Europe. But I think it helps overall, to see how many we are - that wants this! Lets try to be positive ourselves, and make things worth.

When you're done, click the "skicka" button, to send it in.

Thank You!

[News] Teen Top - Crazy 미치겠어

Teen Top released their second mini album today. Simply put, "It's"...
The album consists of six tracks, with "Crazy" as the main song. There is a nice R&B mix of the tune, as well as the regular instrument version. I would actually want to translate 미치겠어 to, "Driving me Crazy" though...

1. Teen Top (intro)
2. 미치겠어 (Crazy)
3. Where's ma girl
4. Girl Friend
5. Crazy (R&B Slow mix)
6. Crazy (Inst.)

I'm thinking this is one of those songs that will grow on me. I have problems with that "baby, baby, baby" piece in "Crazy", I wont even mention why... But I've listen to it about four times now, and it is getting better. I think it will be better with the MV too. (It did)
A very good point is that everyone participate more with the vocals. It's not just Noel's voice coming through anymore. And I absolutely adore that my favorite, L.Joe got bigger parts in it all.

So, some teasers first... I'm not sure how fast they will bring out the whole thing. I'm going to update this.

Update, full MV;
Teen Top - Crazy
미치겠어 (It's mini album 2012)

Teen Top - Crazy 미치겠어 Teaser (It's mini album 2012)
This is the drama version, and I believe they use the R&B mix for this teaser.

Teen Top - 미치겠어 Crazy Teaser (It's mini album 2012)
The dance version, where they use the intro song "Teen Top". So the music isn't "Crazy".

[Video of the Week] Lee Hyun - Because it's you 너니까

☆ Video of the Week!

Lee Hyun, from 8eight, released a new album now in January. The album "The Healing Echo" consists of nine songs in total. One of them is out in an amazingly artsy and beautiful music video. Actually, I like some of the other songs in the album better. So it's unfortunate there is no MV's for those... yet. But this is really artistic. I really like it.

Lee Hyun - 너니까 (The Healing Echo album 2012)

T-ara Series - Cry Cry, Lovey Dovey

T-ara's members Jiyeon, Qri, Eunjung and Hyomin is preforming their acting-skills in their new drama version of their music videos. Jiyeon (Park Ji Yeon) is the female protagonist in "Cry Cry", while Qri (Lee Ji Hyun) is the female protagonist in "Lovey Dovey". How come? Find out, by watching!

Cha Seung Won plays the big part, as the male protagonist. Seung Won have acted in the movie "71: Into the fire" and also been in the drama "The Greatest Love". (I love his voice for some reason) Hyomin and Eunjung have two smaller parts, with Hyomin in "Cry Cry" and Eunjung in "Lovey Dovey". Ji ChangWuk is also in the music videos, as one of the bad guys...
This is one of the longest and most expensive Asian music videos. It supposedly took 96 hours to film.

I have to say, you forget about the music after a while... but this is impressive.

[Korean Movie] You're My Pet (Neoneun Pet)

You're my Pet (Korean movie 2011) is originally based on the josei manga, also known as "Tramps like us", written by Yayoi Ogawa
There is also an Japanese live-action drama of ten episodes, with Koyuki Kato as the female protagonist, and Jun Matsumoto as the male protagonist. The Japanese adaption is called "Kimi wa Peto". But now, we are turning towards the Korean movie.

Ji Eun Yi (Kim Ha Neul) works as an editor for a fashion magazine. She acts like a very cold woman, and wont get along with her colleges. She keeps failing in relationships with men, and her friends is quick to remark that. Her brother, Ji Eun Soo (Choi Jong Hoon), lives with her temporarily while doing the chores for payment.
When Eun Yi goes into the bathroom one night, she walks by someone brushing his teeth. She assumes it is her brother and pats him on the rear. Both becomes pretty shocked, when realizing it's not her brother - but a complete stranger.

Kang In Ho (Jang Geun Suk) was a promising ballet dancer. Two years ago he accidentally dropped a female dancer, while lifting her up. The woman was unable to dance any further after that, and In Ho blamed himself for it. He would not dance with any women anymore. Now, hoping to be a musical choreographer instead. In Ho doesn't have a place to stay and goes to a bar where his friend Eun Soo works.
Eun Soo later asks his sister, Eun Yi, if In Ho can stay in her house. She quickly disapproves of the idea. But doesn't know that her brother makes a deal with In Ho the same night, taking the payment for six months rent.

The next evening when Eun Yi arrives at her place, a big blue box is standing in front of her doorsteps. When she tries to open the box, a hand pops out. She is shocked again, to see the same guy from the day before. She brings the soaking wet In Ho, into her apartment. When she tries to contact her brother, he doesn't answer the calls. All of the sudden, In Ho suggest that he will stay as her pet. She goes along with it, trying to scare him away - saying that he will be her dog. But In Ho isn't easy and crawl over to her, pretending to be just that dog. She freaks out, and tries to throw him out.

In the end... In Ho gets to stay, with a lot of requirements. When Eun Yi is giving him his name, she comes to think of her late dog Momo. And therefore, In Ho is named Momo. Now, how will life become with a human pet... Especially with a colleague, Cha Woo Sung (Ryu Tae Joon), who is interested with her already.

Jang Geun Suk and Kim Ha Neul had a very good chemistry in this. Once in a while, Geun Suk grabs her or cuddle with her. And those moments feel very sweet and natural. I like Geun Suk from before, but he disappointed me a bit with the last drama. Not because he was bad, he was just outshined by others. He still does a great job though, and it felt suitable with him as Momo.
The movie was also hilarious in many points, and I laughed pretty loud sometimes. Especially with the combo of jealous In Ho (Jang Geun Suk) and jealous -or unaware Cha Woo Sung (Ryu Tae Joon).

The Korean adaption have been talked about for some time. So I have really been looking forward to it. And I have to say, it is a very charming and light movie indeed. But it lost a lot of the story, from being that lighthearted. In my opinion, Korean movies is usually better than Japanese. The Japanese live-action had of course ten episodes to prolong the story with. And in that way, they got a lot of the story. While the Korean movie is just 110 minutes long, and perhaps a bit more tricky to get all the content that are needed.

The manga is a story with a lot of depth. The main female protagonist is mainly very depressed and lonely. But she wont show it. She is also a very tough woman, and wont get pushed over easily. The male protagonist have a lot of mystery to himself, and the two together is a mix of disaster, but also the start of something new. They make things worse, with their unconventional behavior. But they also reconstruct themselves. Slowly, getting better...

This movie, on the other hand, is not that deep. But it makes it to something more believable. I can say that I surely enjoyed this movie for what it was. An entire new idea of the story. Momo didn't end up in Ji Eun Yi's (also called Sumire in the Japanese manga) home on the same terms and the movie didn't focus on the same things. Nor is she as strong-minded in this movie, as she is in the manga. Sometimes, I can see her loosing the "master" position. You also get to know about Momo's problems to quickly, and it wont go any deeper on that point either.

All in all, the basics is the same. The story have the same foundation. But it makes it to something of its own, on the top notes. Which is, in some cases bad and others good. In my opinion it is a little bit of both

I, like I mentioned before, don't like when movies or series get to angsty and just fall flat. This one, should perhaps need some more depth to it. But I love that there is no overreacting and no angst. They acted it great. And I didn't feel that it fell flat either. Estimated with the 110 minutes, I think Kim Byung Kon made it work quite well.

I will say it like this; If you really like the main story of this, but can be open-minded for something new and different. You would probably like this movie. It is in fact a very sweet and charming movie, with a lot of good remarks.
If you like the main story, and would hate if something was different. Well, don't watch it.
 I, myself, recommend watching it.
